The spiciness from the black pepper and saffron hits right away, but it settles into that soft makeup-powder heart which keeps it from being too heavy. I’ve gotten three compliments in one day wearing it, and the upcycled rose feels like a nice bonus.
I’ve worn a lot of rose perfumes, but the upcycled aspect plus that spicy black pepper kick makes this feel genuinely different—bold without being screechy. The makeup-powder note in the heart softens it just enough to wear to the office, and it lasts all day on my skin.
The sillage on this one is a knockout – I could smell the saffron and black pepper before my wrist even reached my nose. It leans bold and a bit dramatic, though the makeup-powder note in the dry-down keeps it from feeling heavy. Perfect for evenings when I want my perfume to do the talking.
